His mother, Mary, is American, while he father, José, is Hispanic, thus he is half American, half Hispanic. Tony has a younger brother named Fransisco, who just loves causing trouble. The entire family watched wrestling all of their life. Tony's cousin is actually a professional wrestler, starting at age 18, and his name is "Grade A" PKA. PKA was sort of an inspiration to Tony, making him want to become a wrestler even more. He met up with a friend of PKA's, and a local trainer in Mexico City, Mexico, named Rey Valiente, in early 2003. He started training with him immediately, and when they were finally complete with the training, Rey Valiente dubbed Tony Soto "The Mighty Aguila" or "The Mighty Eagle" because of the way he flies through the air ever so smoothly, and how he swoops down so fast with his Shooting Star Press maneuver. Soto set out to find his first wrestling promotion in September, 2003, and finally came across one in which he could show off his talent. He joined the National Wrestling Network on September 22, 2003. In their first show, on October 11th in Chicago "Clash of the Champions" Pay Per View, The Mighty Aguila became the nWn U.S. Champion. With the problems of his younger brother, Junior, going on, things were rough. Junior was shot at a party where many drugs and alcohol were present. The whole family was frightened, but luckily he came out okay. This effected The Mighty Aguila's sense of concentration, and he would then go on to lose the U.S. title on October 31st at Halloween Horror to Chyna in a free for all battle royal-elimination match. The shooting not only effected that win, but Soto on a more personal level, as he distanced himself from his family, from his friends, and from the wrestling business. Little is known why Soto is back now in WARPED. Perhaps he's back under the advisement of his cousin, PKA? We'll find out soon...
